Our Values Jars

Year 2 helped Mrs Proctor create a cardboard relief to display our 5 core values. On the shelf, there are five jars, one for each value. As children and staff demonstrate our values, we will add pebbles to the jar so we can celebrate when we show respect, compassion, perseverance, friendship and creativity. We have already spotted some pebbles! This term we are exploring "perseverance." Our key Bible story is "The Parable of the Wise Man and the Foolish Man" with the key message being to follow God's word and you will have the skills to persevere when life gets hard. Linking with our whole-school PSHE theme "Dreams and Goals," children have reflected on 2021 and discussed goals for 2022 thinking about how they can achieve a goal even when it's tough. Maybe you could talk to your child about goals you have achieved and the steps you took to get there.
