Tuesday 7th January
Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy New Year! We hope you all managed to have a lovely Christmas and that the children had a well-deserved rest. Thank you so much for all your support, kind words, cards, and gifts. We really appreciated it. We are looking forward to working with you and your children again this term.
This term we will be thinking about traditional and world stories such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Handa’s Surprise. We will be tasting fruit, learning about Chinese New Year, looking at how things grow and doing some mapping. We will be thinking about keeping safe online. We will also be continuing with daily Phonics and Maths sessions, reading lots of stories and singing lots of rhymes. The children will continue to learn a new poem each week and bring it home. This is so they can teach you the poem we have been learning in school each week. The phonics sounds and words will continue to come home too. These can stay in their bags so we can add new ones each week. The children will also have PE sessions each week.
This term’s whole school value is ‘Perseverance’ which we will learn more about in our class services as well as in the classroom.
Below are some reminders:

A named book bag
A named coat (even if it is warm a waterproof ‘just in case’ is a good idea!)

A named PE kit (PE will take place twice a week. PE kit can stay in school and will be sent home at half-term for a freshen up. Please make sure all long hair is tied back every day and that everything is named.)
We will continue to communicate with you through Tapestry. We will also put things on the school website.
If you need to talk to us you can often catch us at the beginning of the day to pass on a message e.g. who is picking your child up, if you need to discuss something where
you need more of our time please ring the main office to arrange a meeting or e-mail us using the admin email address
Best wishes,
