Spring 2

We have had a busy term, even though it was a very short one!

It was great fun to get dressed up for World Book Day. There were so many imaginative costumes and who wouldn't love being Harry Potter or a Mandalorian for the day! We have had lots of enrichment activities this term including learning basic first aid and discovering how to do Chinese dancing. The children have been on trips, with their year groups to the library and Dean Close School for an activity day.

We had a great time at Ernest Cook Outdoor Centre, map-reading and finding story clues around the woods. We built a huge beanstalk out of tree branches and loved trying to sneak up on the giant and get his gold.

Of course, we have been working really hard on our curriculum learning too, particularly working on writing a narrative, persuasive writing and  instruction writing. Training a dragon has been a challenge and helping a Wish Granter  to fix his machine and helping a character escape a wicked 19th Century Circus have been just a few of the English challenges we have undertaken in the last five weeks. What will we be doing next? Wait and see!
