17/07/23 - Year 6 were very privileged to work with volunteers from Christ Church this morning for a transition workshop to help prepare them even further for going to secondary school. As part of this, they learnt the steps for how to tie a tie 👔
14/07/23 - Our General Knowledge Quiz Team were chuffed with the engraved cup - we are incredibly proud of their amazing knowledge 🧠
13/07/24 - Wow! Year 6 totally impressed their audiences for their production ‘Olivia’. They made us so proud and their singing, dancing and acting was phenomenal. Memories to last forever 🤗
12/07/23 - We loved our residential. It was so much fun. Lots of incredibly special memories made and new activities enjoyed 🤩 🌳 Thank you to all who made it happen!

11/07/23 - A fun-filled campfire, roasting marshmallows, sharing our favourite primary school memories, telling jokes and ending the evening with a glass of milk and a biscuit 🤗
11/07/23 - Day 2 of residential has been a roaring success. The children have taken part in crate stacking, biking, navigation, low ropes, tunnelling and team building. They are looking forward to a camp fire this evening and the sun has made a guest appearance 🌞
10/07/23 - Day 1 of residential was so much fun. Y6 activities included biking, crate stacking, navigation and a night hike 🥾 Here is the first team photo!

03/07/23 - Amazing watercolour artwork and Maths day fun last week 🖼 🎨
23/06/23 - In art, we have been learning about one point perspectives. This is a method they shows how things get smaller as they get further away, converging towards a single vanishing point on the horizon line. It is a way of drawing objects upon a flat piece of paper so they look three-dimensional and realistic 🖼
23/06/23 - Work is well underway on the props for the performance. Y6 also produced some brilliant pastel artwork and a group from our class enjoyed a trip to SPIRAX to engage in some STEM activities!
16/06/23 - Year 6 had a wonderful time at the DGAT Leavers' Service at Gloucester Cathedral on Wednesday. As part of the service, they had the opportunity to reflect on their time at primary school in the context of the Christian faith. Everyone received a special holding cross the mark the occasion.
12/06/23 - Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their STEM workshop and learnt lots about construction and engineering. They were able to apply their Maths and Science knowledge and apply it to a real-life scenario of building a strong bridge. Excellent teamwork and sharing of ideas took place 🌉
09/06/23 - Year 6 enjoyed their trip to the Science Festival yesterday to see veterinarian and author Jess French!
01/06/23 - Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to CLC to learn about the workings of the pipe organ. They all had the opportunity to play the organ, linking their experience with their knowledge of composition and musical notation 🎵 What an amazing experience! 🙏
23/05/23 - Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their time in the prayer space this morning 🙏 It was wonderful to have the time to be reflective and to think about things like compassion, thankfulness and hope 🦋

Year 6 voted for their new class book which will be read aloud during the term by Miss Greenwood. Each child used their talk token to vote, verbally justifying their choice, linking to Oracy objectives 📚
