23/03/23 - Y6 enjoyed learning about diffusion in Science this week, undertaking an investigation to support their work 🧪

22/03/23 - Year 6 enjoyed creating device / storage cases in DT this week, utilising their sewing skills.

21/03/23 - Year 4 and Year 6 were very lucky as they had a video call all the way from Thailand on Tuesday where they caught up with Ethan and Edward. They learnt about Asian elephants, animal osteopathy and life in Thailand. A special thank you to Mrs Parker for organising this

17/03/23 - Red Nose Day fundraising and fun!

09/03/23 - Year 5 and Year 6 were very lucky to be visited by the author C.C Brampton today. He taught them about the writing process and inspired them with the journey he has been on to become a published author! 📚

08/03/23 - Year 6 enjoyed their trip to SkillZONE on Wednesday and learnt lots about safety in the home, online, on the road and at a railway station. They also got to see a police cell, learnt about seaside safety and developed skills to support their own knowledge of keeping safe and healthy!

02/03/23 - The amazing World Book Day dodecahedrons 📚

02/03/23 - World Book Day fun! Y6 enjoyed making dodecahedrons, undertaking some book-themed word problems and competing in fun-filled races in PE!

01/03/23 - Y6 enjoyed learning about animal adaptations in relation to camouflage in Science yesterday. This was then linked to art 🖼️ 🐞

What a lot of amazing work from Y6 this half term! Their knowledge as Historical Detectives learning about the Windrush is outstanding - we are so proud of each and every child 🌟 A special thank you to Mrs Parr for creating such a wonderful hand-drawn Windrush ship as a focal point for our display 🖼

16/02/23 - The children wrote a lovely, thoughtful prayer to keep those impacted by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey in their thoughts 🇹🇷 🇸🇾

30/01/23 - Maths is fun!

10/01/23 - Year 6 enjoyed designing, creating and enhancing their sea creature clay tile designs 🐠 We are so proud of them all!

06/01/23 - Our amazing Y6 Swimming Team WON the @MoveMoreCIO Primary Swimming Gala this morning! We are so proud of them for their determination and teamwork 🏊🏻‍♀️ A fantastic event; we are always so proud of the Christ Church ethos and kindness shown when attending events🥇 @DGATSCHOOLS
