Why did the Titanic sink?
This term Year 2 are learning about "the unsinkable ship" Titanic. We will find out about the events leading up to its fateful journey, who was on board and what happened during its maiden voyage. Why did it sink?

Platinum Jubilee Party Day
Year 2 enjoyed a special Platinum Jubilee Party Day on Friday. We moved the tables to make a giant 70 in the classroom, made place mats and flags for later. Each class looked at a different decade and we had 1970s so we looked at key events including the Silver Jubilee in 1977. Children used iPads to make crazy 1970s patterns to create portraits of the Queen. We enjoyed a special outside picnic street party style lunch. In the afternoon, we joined the rest of the school for a special celebration assembly sharing our artwork.
