This week we are going to look at 'The Highway Rat' by Julia Donaldson. Watch the story using the link below. If you have the book you could read it too.
Can you colour one of the pictures of the Highway Rat or draw a picture of him in your busy book? Now can you write a sentence to describe him? Next can you think of another sentence to describe him? Finally can you join your two sentences together with 'and'? Here is an example:
The rat is grey.
The rat is mean.
The rat is grey and mean.
I think your sentences will be more exciting than mine!
Read this story about Jesus and have a go at the activities.
You will have had an e-mail about a music video we would like to create. All you need to do is to learn this song and then video yourself singing it and send it to me (walkerj@christchurch-chelt.gloucs.sch.uk) My girls and I have had a go at doing this. It was great fun! If you look at the Year 1 class page there is a snippet of me practising! It would be really lovely to receive some videos of you all singing. You could have a go at this today.
