Autumn Term
PE- Cricket
Year One have been loving practising their throwing and batting skills in Cricket. We are learning lots of new warm up games and getting lots of teamwork practise as we learn how to be good 'fielders'.

We have been enjoying lots of discovery time around the theme of autumn.
In history this term we have been learning about the history of toys. We have been learning about what toys were popular in the 1960s and how they have changed.
Our first day in Year 1
Science- Autumn 1- Materials
This term we will be getting hands on and close up with lots of different materials. We will be touching, feeling, describing, making, classifying and experimenting with metal, wood, plastic, fabric and many more. We will be investigating what material makes the best umbrella and pouring water on each material to see which one is waterproof. Lets hope we don't get too wet!
RE- Autumn 1- Christianity/ Creation
This term we will be thinking about what or who Christians believe made our world. We will be learning about the Bible story of Creation and thinking about the elements of the natural world that are most special to us. We will showing our gratitude for our favourite things on our planet and thinking about Harvest time and why it is special.
