Spring 2

The fourth term is upon us and I can't believe we are this far into another year!

Lots of great learning opportunities are planned for this term; We are very excited to have our own world traveller in 'Lara's Adventures,' writing us monthly letters about the country she is in. We are replying to her letters with our own research about that country. We will be starting the term by writing up our fact files on Russia. The KS2 children have all chosen an area of interest to write about. It has been great fun to learn about the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Faberge Eggs, Red Square and The Kremlin, traditions and customs in Russia and their  traditional food.

We are looking forward to World Book Day and I know the children are already planning their costumes in detail. We will be sharing lots of books, particularly on the subject of inspirational people like Malala Yousafzai and Temple Granding.

As the weather is getting better, (I write this as Storm Eunice is blowing) we will be going to Ernest Cook Forest School once a month from this point on. All the children really enjoy being out in the woods, getting muddy, exploring independently and rising to new challenges.
