iPad music - we are now composing our own pieces using GarageBand 🎸

Y6 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to Cheltenham Literature Festival where they learnt lots about books, editing and creating characters in a session led by Ross Montgomery. Ross Montgomery is the author of award-winning books for children. His novels have been twice shortlisted for the Costa Children’s Book of the Year and twice selected for the Waterstones' Children’s Book of the Month, as well as chosen for the Sunday Times Top 100 Modern Children’s Classics.

Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed their cricket lessons this term, developing key physical skills such as coordination, agility, and teamwork. A fantastic way to stay active while building confidence and competence in sport!🏏

KS2 enjoyed an amazing service led by ‘Mad Science SW’ where they saw lots of live experiments involving chemical changes. This company will be coming into school in Autumn 2 after school on Fridays to run a club - please see correspondence from the office or the paper copy of the leaflet sent home with your child for sign up details 🧪

We learnt lots about road safety during a whole school service and then a Y5/6 workshop 🚙

Y6 enjoyed using manipulatives to support investigative learning related to cube numbers this week 😊

As a Voice21 school, we have been practising our oracy skills in weekly debating and discussion sessions 🗣️

Y6 took part in the Bikeability training this week – a fantastic opportunity to build their confidence and skills when cycling. Over several sessions, the children learned how to check their bikes for safety, signal clearly and ride confidently on quiet roads. The instructors were incredibly impressed with their enthusiasm and progress. Well done to all our cyclists for showing great focus, responsibility and road awareness!
