Year 2 visited a local care home this week to build relationships with “adopted grandparents” as part of their Action Project for their Young Leader Award.
The children brought work to share with them, they talked to them and did sewing with them.
Next week, they decided to design and make some cushions to sew and gift to the residents. The children absolutely loved making a difference to others and the care home staff commented how important this was to the elderly people and how they brightened up their day. Thank you again to the parents who gave up their time to accompany us.
