Year 2 enjoyed a fun afternoon with the University of Gloucestershire student teachers on Wednesday. The children had previously drawn a map of the world from memory then the teachers planned a set of activities to develop their knowledge of the continents, oceans and countries and their locations. After the tasks, the pupils re-drew their maps of the world showing progress in their learning.
We were all very excited to meet Donut and his human, Jos, yesterday. He really enjoyed listening to children in Year 2 read. He will be visiting other classes in the coming weeks. We are not sure who was more excited, staff or children!
To mark the end of our Scandinavian enquiry (with a special focus on Denmark), Emilia's dad kindly came in to share a presentation on his homeland. Mr Christensen spoke to the class about what it is like living and growing up in a Scandinavian country.
Year 4s were delighted with their completed Viking Collage art work.
