Congratulations to Leo in Year 5 - runner up and Emilia in Year 2 - winner of the RE Art Competition. Both children received a prize for their "Glimpses of Belief" artwork.
To celebrate International Women In Engineering Day, a selection of Year 6 pupils were invited to join team members from Spirax Sarco on an engineering challenge morning. They had great fun designing, branding, modelling and most importantly flying their own aeroplanes. The children’s behaviour was exemplary with many taking lead roles feeding back to a huge group of adults and children from other schools. Huge thanks to Mrs Ellis (Y6 parent) and Spirax Sarco for organising this for us - lots of the group left wanting to pursue a career in engineering!
On Monday, a large group of junior children represented Christ Church at the Prince of Wales Athletics event. Children sprinted, took part in long distance, relays, long jump and throwing events. We were so proud of each and every one of them, as well as the children chosen as reserves who had an important role and supported the teams. A big thank you to the staff who supported that evening, and to Miss Hillier who organised the teams and trained the children, assisted by Mr Taylor.
