Sports commentators try to make the action they are watching really exciting. Watch the You Tube video below of some famous football commentaries as an example.

Your task is to write a script for a commentator describing some mundane task around the house. eg filling the dishwasher or making your bed. You will need to use lots of exciting adjectives and adverbs to describe the action clearly and exaggerate just how amazing what you are watching is!

Look at my example below.

OTHER

Last week, you learned about seed germination.

Once a plant has started to grow, its leaves will be crucial. They are like solar panels - they bathe in sunlight and a special chemical inside the leaf can capture the energy from that light and turn it into food for the plant. This is called photosynthesis.

Watch the BBC clips below:

Many sports pitches are made up of just one plant - grass. The grass leaves need to photosynthesise and grow, but be even and kept at the right length to play sport on. Do some research to find out how the grass is looked after by ground-keepers around the country, even if the pitch is covered, eg Wimbledon Centre Court or the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
