Happy New Year!  We hope you all managed to have a lovely Christmas and that the children had a well-deserved rest. 
We are looking forward to working with you and your children again this term. 

This term we will be thinking about traditional and world stories such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Handa’s Surprise.  We will be tasting fruit, learning about Chinese New Year, looking at how things grow and doing some mapping. We will be thinking about keeping safe online.  We will also be continuing with daily Phonics and Maths sessions, reading lots of stories and singing lots of rhymes.  The children will continue to bring a nursery rhyme home with them each week.  This is so they can teach you the nursery rhyme we have been learning in school each week.  The phonics sounds and words will continue to come home too.  These can stay in their bags so we can add new ones each week.  The children will also have PE sessions each week. 

This term’s whole school value is ‘Perseverance’ which we will learn more about in our services as well as in the classroom.
