Well done to everyone for taking part in sports day. Photos from the infant sports below.
We had an amazing time on our Ernest Cook Trip. We went pond dipping and caught all sorts of pond creatures including a Dragonfly Nymph, which we got a photo of. We toasted marshmalllows over a campfire, played in the hammocks and made a see-saw out of one of the fallen logs.
We had a great morning out at Skills Zone in Gloucester. We learnt how to be safe in various situations including a building site, an alleyway, on a train, on a bus, in the car, in our houses and how to cross the road safely. We also went into a courtroom and custody suite to see what it is like if we don't follow the law.
We had a lovely day out to The Ernest Cook Trust forest school. We walked around the forest looking and listening for the different types of birds that live in the trees, we even heard a pheasant in a nearby field. We found some wriggly, furry and colourful caterpillars to give to our toy birds, that we had found on our walk, for their lunch.  After a yummy picnic style lunch we built nests for our birds so they had somewhere nice and warm to sleep and finish up their caterpillars. We finished the day off with a small campfire and toasted marshmallows.

We had a great time on our trip to the Ernest Cook Trust! We followed a trail around the forest and found some hedgehogs, we made some dens for the hedgehogs to hibernate in and we had lots of fun making leaf crowns, hunting for different types of leaves and finding autumn coloured things on the forest floor.

We had an exciting time on our trip to the Ernest Cook Trust forest school. We went on a story quest, where we had to walk around the forest with a map and look for numbered posts that had clues on, the story we finished with was Jack and the Beanstalk. After listening to the story we built the fallen beanstalk out of logs and played Grandma's footsteps, taking it in turns to be the giant at the top of the beanstalk. To finish off our fantastic day we had a campfire and toasted marshmallows.
