  • Netball V Holy Trinity

Thu 07 Dec 2017 Miss Hillier

Christ Church Netball Team played their second league match of the season on Monday evening. This was our first away game and we were warmly welcomed by the staff and children of Holy Trinity after an interesting trip around Cheltenham's one way system!

The girls made a strong start to the game and scored early. Confidence was high and the team were passing and attacking well. Holy Trinity then made their presence on the court felt and began to defend well and soon evened the score. Unfortunately, as the light began to fade and the slippery playground began to further effect our girls' abilities to move around the court, Holy Trinity began to use their home advantage and scored several more impressive goals.

The final score was 6-3 to Holy Trinity.

A special mention must go to Annabel who was our substitute for this game and provided great encouragement to her team and recorded both the time and score accurately.

  • Christmas Singing

Fri 01 Dec 2017 Mrs Walker

Singing Club have had a busy day today.

First they  performed at St Marks Methodist Church.  The children's behaviour was impeccable and their singing was beautiful.  Their audience thoroughly enjoyed listening to them and were full of praise and thanks when we finished.

Then we went back to school ready for our second performance of the day at the school Christmas Fair.  Again the children were amazing and should be very proud of themselves.  If you were there we hope you enjoyed it.  We did!  Well done Singing Club smiley

  • Netball V Airthrie

Fri 01 Dec 2017 Miss Hillier

Wednesday evening saw Christ Church Netball Team show a valiant effort against local school Airthrie. The girls were not put off by the cold weather and were extremely excited to follow on from their previous success.

Airthrie made a very strong start to the game and scored early. Their strong passing and quick feet made it difficult for our girls to get into the match initially and the first break could not come quick enough.

After a team talk and a group hug, the girls got back on court and showed much more confident play, beginning to even out the score. The final score was 5-3 to Airthrie. Our girls were not down-hearted by the score and learnt a lot from the challenging opposition.

A special mention must go to Georgina for some great defending and speed around the court. All the girls are now looking forward to their next match against Holy Trinity on Monday.
