  • Well done Warwick!

    Tue 18 Jun 2019 D. Cook
The children in KS2 managed to dodge the weather and enjoyed a fantastic sports day at Farnley field. The children took part in a number of different events including sprints, relays, vortex throw, distance running and standing long-jump. All of the children showed great determination and respect with a very close contest ending in Warwick as the overall winners. Congratulations to Warwick and thank you to Miss Hillier and the entire staff team for such a successful morning. Thank you also must go to Cheltenham Ladies College for the use of their wonderful facilities.
  • A Brilliant Day's Quidditch!!!

    Mon 10 Jun 2019 A. Hillier & D. Cook

What a brilliant day of magic and broomsticks! Thank you Miss Hillier for organising yet another wonderful days sport at Christ Church and thank you Cheltenham Ladies' College for allowing us to use your wonderful facilities again!

Children from Reception to Year 6 learnt the skills of being a seeker, a chaser, a bludger and keeper. All of these were carried out while riding on the latest, hi-tech broomsticks! Once these initial skills had been learnt, KS2 children then put them into practise playing a short Quidditch match while the younger children played a slightly simplified version.

It was incredible to see how quickly the children mastered the throwing and catching skills, and understood the rules of game. We hope that this experience has inspired our children to make up their own games and realise that a fictional world can become reality through imagination and creativity, whilst also having fun and keeping fit!
