Year 4 were invited to Pate’s Grammar School for a ‘Cyber Futures’ session. The children were each equipped with their own ‘microbit’ to explore. They thoroughly enjoyed creating different ‘input codes’ for their microbits and were able to make a variety of light and sound pattern outputs. Thank you to Pate’s for providing a wonderful coding experience for our children!
On Tuesday, Year 2 ventured into an icy cold Cheltenham to see real artefacts from Captain Scott’s expedition to the South Pole. Dr Edward Adrian Wilson, born in Cheltenham, was one of Scott’s best friends and was chosen to be one of the final five to travel on to reach the South Pole on 17th January 1912. We learned all about his life and legacy which will help us write a biography next week.
