Spring Term 4 2025

Why does it matter where our food comes from?

I hope everyone had a lovely half term holiday. This term, I have planned lots of exciting learning for our new enquiry project “Why does it matter where our food comes from?” In this geography-led theme, we will learn about dairy farming, look at why there are so many dairy farms in Devon, how cheese is made, exploring trade and where our fruit and vegetables come from. Our science work will continue to look at “Animals and Humans” exploring the importance of exercise and being healthy which links nicely with our PSHE topic called “Healthy Me.” Knowledge organisers for science and geography are attached to use at home for retrieval practice.
