Y5 visit Greystone Farm

Year 5 visited Greystone Farm Nature reserve near Bourton-on- the-Water last Thursday to learn about the features of a river and the habitat that it creates. They measured the depth and width of the river at various points as well as floating dog biscuits to measure the speed of the water (whilst also feeding fish and ducks downstream!) After a picnic lunch the children were able to take water samples to investigate the living things that called the river home. We had a great day and the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust staff were very impressed with the children's knowledge.
