The teaching of sex and relationships is seen as a partnership between school and parents. We seek to develop, within a Christian ethos, an understanding of one’s own and others’ sexuality.

During the Summer Term in Year 6, there will be a series of sessions on puberty and sexual reproduction based on the Channel 4 programmes, ‘Living and Growing’. Parents will be given the opportunity to view the resources used in this teaching.
Parents may withdraw their children for part or all of sex education, except that which is required as part of the National Curriculum Science programme.
